The Gornergrat Gourmet Ticket combines an experience in the great outdoors with culinary delights. Experience the idyllic winter hiking trails, the highest sledging run in Switzerland and a gourmet menu featuring Valais specialities.
On a gourmet journey with the Gornergrat Railway
- Train ride Zermatt–Gornergrat–Riffelberg–Riffelalp–Zermatt
- Cocktails and Valais appetisers at the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat
- Three-course gourmet menu at Hotel Riffelhaus
- Dessert and coffee at the ‘Alphitta’ mountain restaurant on the Riffelalp
- Rotenboden–Riffelberg sledding run including rental of sled or snowshoes

For lovers of fine food and the great outdoors
Fine dining, fun and exercise can be combined ideally on the Gorner-grat: During the gourmet tour, you will enjoy a variety of cocktails and Valais appetisers, a three-course gourmet menu and a delectable dessert served with a speciality coffee. There is also an attractive selection of different outdoor activities to choose from: Snow-shoe trails, winter hiking paths or sledding.
From laid-back relaxation to exhilarating sport
The entire journey can be made in comfort with the Gornergrat Railway. We recommend one or the other outdoor activities for anyone who values an unspoilt natural excursion experience: Between Rotenboden and Riffelberg, you have the choice between an impressive sled ride on the highest sledding run in Switzerland an exhilarating snowshoe tour or a hike through a winter wonderland.
The Gornergrat Railway first takes you from Zermatt to the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat, where cocktails served with a selection of Valais appetisers await you. One station or activity later, you will arrive at Hotel Riffelhaus and enjoy a fabulous three-course gourmet menu before continuing with the Gornergrat train to the traditional ‘Alphitta’ restaurant on the Riffelalp. After a delectable dessert and coffee, the excursion ends with a train ride back down to Zermatt.
